Welcome to Mainstreet Trading Books, who can be found at Mainstreet, St Boswells
Based in the beautiful Scottish Borders village of St Boswells, we like to think of The Mainstreet Trading Company as a destination in itself. Back in 2008 we renovated a former auction house, to create a light and airy space filled with books and the smell of coffee. In late 2012, work was completed in the barn behind the main shop to create Mainstreet Deli & Home, launched by Tom Kitchin. This year were are celebrating our 10th birthday at Mainstreet, to read all about our plans…
We asked all the bookshops to answer three Christmas questions:
1. What is your favourite Christmas book?
The ‘hero’ of our Christmas window this year is How Winston Delivered Christmas (see first two photos taken from our 5-window panoramic)
2. What books should we look out for this December? Adult fiction, children’s fiction and non-fiction

3. Have you any events going on in December?
We hosted our last author event of the year on Thurs 30th Nov with the legendary Sir Chris Hoy. In Dec our focus is on the shop floor, but we are hosting a pop-up flower stall mid-month to help everyone find the perfect wreath.
You can always email me on firstname.lastname@example.org with any suggestions.
